Welcome to the Brilliant Balls Family
Now, three generations later, we have connected back to the entertainment industry for over 60 years. With countless customers through the door, we like to think we are making our mark on NI.

Romanos
Romano's dance hall kicked off the family's venture into the entertainment world. Located on Queen Street, Belfast city centre, it first opened its doors in the 1960s and finally shut its doors in the 1970s to make way for Leisureworld. Bringing the first sprung floor to Northern Ireland meant less abuse on the knees and enhanced the dancing.

Leisureworld
As time moved on, the knees became less forgiving. Hanging up the dancing shoes for the last time and focusing on the younger clients. Opening up in the 1970s, then closed its doors in the '90s due to the bigger name brands coming to the city centre. Lego sets, Cabbage Patch kids, Barbies, and Action Man stocked the hottest Christmas gift. Sometimes things getting a little too hot with numerous petrol bombs throughout the troubles leading to some serious fire sales.

ScrapYard Golf
The world entered a pandemic, which resulted in the world standing still and entertainment venues shutting down around us. A glimmer of light broke through, with normality coming back in 2022. A lockdown project began to create one of the world's craziest golf. Items sourced from around the island of Ireland were reimagined into holes. Forgetting how to count and ending up with 21 uniquely themed holes.

StrikeYard Bowling
Expanding out of the world of mini golf to a slightly larger ball next door. By acquiring Glengormley Sportsbowl Bowling Alley in 2025, the plan is to revitalize the old bones and bring them into the 20th century. Expanding our footprint will allow us to develop and bring new materials to the NI market.
